Welcome to my website. I’m an Associate Professor of Politics and Psychology at New York University, and an installation artist whose work tackles literary, technical, and site-specific challenges.
As a researcher, my work uses methods from a variety of disciplines — experimental social psychology, behavioral economics, and game theory — to explore a range of topics in American and Comparative Politics. These days my areas of greatest focus are the politics of climate change and political polarization in the United States. In addition, I’m currently serving on the Manhattan Solid Waste Advisory Board, chairing a task force that aims to reduce carbon emissions in New York City.
As an artist, my practice is centered on site-specific audio installations, often exploring similar social and political themes.
